Hello and welcome to Food Fix! The newsletter took a much-needed break last week, but we’re back in full swing over here for a busy week on Capitol Hill.
Food Fix at the Polk Awards: On Friday, I was honored to attend the Polk Awards ceremony in New York. I won this award for a climate series I wrote for Politico back in 2019 – a prestigious honor I learned about just days before the world shut down in March 2020. Of course, there was no ceremony that year (or the years following). Politico generously invited both me and Dan Diamond (a fellow former Politico who won in 2020) to attend the luncheon this year since we’d missed out.
